The Italian Army Knife, a very SILCA take on the traditional multi-tool. We've addressed the things that frustrate us with conventional multi-tools, while keeping the layout that fits conveniently in the SILCA EOLO Wallet or MATTONE. The mid-length tool design is long enough to provide access to recessed fasteners, but short enough not to experience twist or damage under moderate torque as can happen on longer tools. All tools are forged rather than bent from hex stock. While this method of construction is more expensive, the value is unquestioned during a road-side repair. Mid-length tools also allow us to position the tools within the same plane, reducing the thickness of the overall package by half. Double-chromed tools and fully stainless steel hardware and bushings guarantee a long life without corrosion (the number 1 killer of multi-tools is corrosion). Forged aluminum sidebars contain rare-earth magnets for holding a spare chain connector. - Forged and machined sidebars with integrated chain-connector storage. - Nove (No-vay) 9 forged and plated tools: Hex 2/3/4/5/6/8 +Torx 25 +PH2/Flat - 8mm adapter connects to the 5mm hex for optimal use of space. - Stainless steel pivot hardware - NOVE- 79 grams

The YPSILON (pronounced ip.si.lon) is SILCA's take on the unassuming Y-wrench. Most tools in this layout feature 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm keys; meaning that the wrenches for some of the most common use cases in cycling are readily available in one tool. The shape of the Y-wrench also offers superior control and stability over traditional hex keys, especially in tighter workspaces. Ypsilon was designed by a team of engineers and mechanics who obsess over improving products. The body of the tool is constructed using a composite polymer with soft over-mold grips. Unlike traditional Y-wrench designs, YPSILON is customizable and adaptable to the mechanic's preferences. This is accomplished by using a 1/4" bit collet with magnetic bit attachment in place of a fixed 6mm hex. This departure from the traditional Y-wrench design was inspired by the versatility of our T-Ratchet + Ti Torque kit. The YPSILON can easily transform into any required 1/4" based tool by swapping out the bit. - High-strength CrV steel spine leading to 4mm and 5mm hex - Lightweight composite polymer body with ergonomic grips - 1/4" bit collet with magnetic bit attachment
The Italian Army Knife, a very SILCA take on the traditional multi-tool. We've addressed the things that frustrate us with conventional multi-tools, while keeping the layout which fits so conveniently in the SILCA EOLO Wallet or Seat Roll Premio. The IAK as we have come to know and love this product combines fully forged mid-length tools with forged aluminum side plates and full stainless steel hardware. The mid-length tool design is long enough to provide access to recessed fasteners, but short enough not to experience twist or damage under moderate torque as experiences on longer tools. All tools are forged rather than bent from hex stock, this method of construction is more expensive, but worth it on the side of the road! Mid length tools also allow us to position the tools within the same plane, this reduces the thickness of the overall package by half. Double chromed tools and fully stainless steel hardware and bushings guarantee a long life without corrosion (the number 2 killer of multi-tools is corrosion, number 1 is loss!). Forged aluminum sidebars contain rare-earth magnets for holding a spare chain connector.

See instore to purchase. Like everything we do at SILCA, Ypsilon was designed by a team of engineers and mechanics who obsess over every fine detail. Unlike traditional Y-wrench designs, Ypsilon is customizable and adaptable to the mechanic’s preferences. We were able to do this by using a ¼” bit collet with magnetic attachment in place of the 6mm hex wrench which detaches. This departure from the traditional Y-wrench design was inspired by the versatility of our T-Ratchet + Ti Torque kit, and means that Ypsilon can easily transform into any tool you need simply by swapping out the bit. The other two ends of the tool are 4mm and 5mm hex keys. Another key benefit of Ypsilon is the tight tolerances of the keys and bits. Tighter tolerances mean a better tool fit which drastically decreases the likelihood of rounding out fastener heads. These tight tolerances, combined with the CrV steel spine of the tool make Ypsilon incredibly durable. A lightweight composite body with ergonomic grips provide good comfort and control with the contact points of your hand. The Ypsilon Travel Kit comes with everything that the Home Kit comes with minus the box.
